Hearty Sausage Gravy

This recipe is so easy you could conquer it in your most brain dead or hungover state. It’s super filling and really tasty. You can control how spicy you want it. Or add other flavors like garlic powder.

Piping hot!

This gravy recipe really couldn’t be simpler. Sausage, flour, milk, and seasoning. All ingredients you would already have in the kitchen.

Sausage Gravy

Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground pork breakfast sausage
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ – 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a shallow pan.
  • Brown sausage meat.
  • Sprinkle meat with flour, mix around. Cook for about 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Add milk, salt, and pepper—stir. Allow to bubble and turn down heat to medium / low. Sauce should start to thicken. Cook for 4 – 5 minutes.
  • Serve on biscuits, toast, or english muffin.
