Small Batch Brioche Buns

Ingredients

packet yeast quick

flour

salt

sugar

onion powder

cup
warm milk

tbsp
soft butter
Sesame seeds optional
EGG WASH

egg

tbsp
water
Instructions
In a mixer bowl add milk, sugar and yeast.
Add in flour, salt, egg, butter and onion powder.
Using dough hook mix till well incorporated. You may need to stop and scrape down sides.
Let mix on medium low for 6 minutes.
Dough should be smooth and easily form a ball.
Oil a bowl and let dough rest covered for an hour.
Punch down dough and cut into 3 even pieces.
Form into somewhat squat balls.
Cover with towel and let rise again 30 minutes.
Mix egg and water. Lightly brush tops.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Preheat oven to 375 F. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes. Should be golden on top.
