Russian Tea Cookies (No Nuts)

Ingredients

of butter softened

cup
confectioners sugar

vanilla

flour

salt
1-1 ½
cups
of confectioners sugar for dusting the cookies when done
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
Mix butter and ½ confectioners sugar until light and fluffy. Add in vanilla,
Add in flour and salt. Beat until combined.
Cover and refrigerate dough for 1 hour until firm.
Form into 1” balls and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Space about 1 ½” apart.
Bake for 8 - 10 minutes, until lightly golden on the bottom. Let cool for about 5 minutes.
In a square baking dish or large shallow bowl pour the 1 to 1 ½ cups of confectioners sugar.
Roll the still warm cookies in the sugar till completely covered. Make sure you get the bottom of each cookie.
