Boiled Artichokes with Lemon Butter Dipping Sauce
Ingredients

Instructions
Cut the stem off the artichoke right at the base.
Cut the top off the artichoke, about ¾ of an inch off the top. Snipe the remaining leaf points off with a kitchen shears.
Rinse well, gently opening the leaves a bit.
Bring a stock pot ¾ full of water to a boil. Season with salt and garlic powder. Add half a lemon in slices to the water.
Turn water to a simmer and add artichokes. Cover.
Cook 30 minutes or until outer leaves can be easily pulled off.
Microwave butter for 30 seconds or till melted.
Add juice of half a lemon to butter.
Serve.
