Way better than store bought tortillas. I always thought I just disliked flour tortillas, turns out I LOVE homemade tortillas! Why didn’t anyone tell me how much better they are?!

It’s a very simple recipe, but it does take a bit of effort. It’ll be worth it in the end. I used them in pinwheels, potato / egg breakfast burritos, sandwich wraps and caprese wraps.

Flour Tortillas
Servings: 12 tortillas
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp butter softened
- ¾ cup water
Instructions
- In a large bowl mix together the dry ingredients. Cut in the butter using your clean hands.
- Add in water and mix together until a dough forms.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough till smooth.
- Divide into 10 or 12 balls (depending on how large you want them).
- Use a tortilla press if you have one. Or use a rolling pin to roll out each tortilla.
- Heat up a lightly oiled skillet.
- Cook tortillas about 1 minute on each side.
