Easy Pizza Sauce

Just a quick and easy pizza sauce recipe. Much tastier than store bought—plus it’s easy to make with ingredients you usually have in the cabinet. At least if you make marinara as much as I do. Can upon cans of tomato products.

Some saucy sauce

This pizza sauce recipe goes well with some homemade pizza dough and fresh mozzarella cheese.

I love the taste of homemade pizza, nothing else really compares. If only I had a pizza oven, I’d probably be out in the dead of Illinois winter still trying to use it! My favorites are plain cheese, or veggie toppings. Some vegetables that I think go well are green peppers, garlic, artichoke, and red onions.

For me it’s tempting to put on too much sauce, since that’s my favorite part. It’s best to use a lighter touch so the pie bakes up nice and crispy and not a floppy mess.
